Spring 1939. Paweł, a high school graduate, a boy from a good home, spends an evening in a nightclub as part of an anti-bourgeois, youthful rebellion. He and Lidka, a dancer he meets there, go to Podkowa Leśna. In the “Quo Vadis” boarding house, a feeling seems to arise between the young couple, but it is interrupted by the intervention of Paweł’s father, and soon by the war. A few years later, after the Warsaw Uprising, fate will bring them together again…
