Young and rebellious Vera decides to organize a concert by jazz pianist Keith Jarrett. She puts everything on one card to fulfill her dreams in the male-dominated world of jazz. Against the will of her conservative parents, in spite of the mounting problems, she rents the opera. Her plan seems doomed to failure at first, but it achieves its goal with bravado.
